Nine-piece local band the West End Jazz Bandits takes Winnipeg by storm with their horn-y lineup and their swinging and danceable repertoire. Come for the harmon-muted trumpets, stay for the jaw-dropping stand-up bass solos, and try not to cry at the sweetness of the vocal arrangements.

Tickets cash only at the door. $20 or pay what you can. Fundraiser for a local church (St Thomas Anglican) that runs a soup kitchen and food bank.
