Award-winning artist Adèle M. Wilding is active as an in-demand vocalist, composer, arranger, music educator and workshop clinician.

Adèle has performed in fine venues, jazz worship series and festivals in Canada and the UK. She was the Inaugural Winner of the 2005 BWA Nina Simone Award in London, UK, for which she was again nominated in 2008. She has toured western Canada four times, appearing with several of the region's finest jazz, blues, gospel and soul artists. She has released five commercial recordings including her latest EP, pas de deux, with esteemed Canadian jazz artist Miles Black.

From 2017-’18, Adèle founded and toured her acclaimed Caribbean & Blue project in Western Canada. Caribbean & Blue features standards and originals set to a fusion of contemporary jazz and Caribbean grooves. The original songs in this project were inspired by the West Indian side of Adèle’s heritage, visits to the maternal homeland of Barbados and her lifelong fascination with the colour blue. Having founded this project in 2017 in honour of her mother, Adèle now performs Caribbean & Blue in memory of her mother, who passed away in 2019.

Recent gig and educational highlights include a jazz livestream series (2021-’22), TD Winnipeg International Jazz Festival (June 2022), Jazz Vespers, Crescent Arts Centre (December 2022 - June 2023), Jazz at the Fort Garry Hotel (October 2023), and Guest Director for Winnipeg’s World Village Gospel Choir (2023), and a songwriting clinic for Long and McQuade on Henderson (March 2024).

Adèle is honoured to be returning to the TD Winnipeg International Jazz Festival and will be performing with world-class Winnipeg artists Victor Lopez on guitar, Amber Epp on keys, and Rodrigo Munoz on Latin percussion. The show will celebrate the endearing nuances of Caribbean and Latin music under sunny prairie skies!
