THE MIDDLE COAST
The 70s-style yacht rock of Manitoban trio The Middle Coast is the soundtrack of dockside daydreams and breezy evening drives. Drawing on influences ranging from The Guess Who to The Eagles to Hall & Oates, with tinges of Motown soul and Nashville wang, Liam Duncan, Dylan MacDonald, and Roman Clarke have cemented a signature sound and attracted impressive industry attention—all before releasing their first record. The Middle Coast’s engaging live sets have already earned them heaps of accolades—including “Favourite New Band” from The Uniter and the Rising Star award at the Winnipeg Folk festival. The band has played at CMW and Cavendish Beach Music Festival, and have been tapped to open for The Sheepdogs and Michael Bernard Fitzgerald. From patios to paddleboats, The Middle Coast’s summertime melodies are simultaneously vintage and vanguard; throwback and trailblazing. Regardless of age, genre, or geography, this band will have listeners across the board feeling right at home.
