Out of a desire to bring quality music instruction to students in Winnipeg's inner-city, The Bridge: Music for Life was born. What has evolved is something truly extraordinary. Students from every corner of the globe participate in the program, which employs a rhythm-first, learn-by-doing approach. With director & saxophonist Neil Watson at the helm, the band plays repertoire that's familiar, fun and infectious for student and audience alike.

Featuring students enrolled in the program alongside Winnipeg professional musicians, The Bridge performs each summer at street festivals and events in communities throughout Winnipeg. Its members hail from the Republic of Congo, Kenya, Rwanda, Canada, Syria, Iraq, the Philippines, Nepal & Tibet proving definitively that nothing – nothing – brings people together quite like the awe-inspiring positive energy created through music.
