LET’S GET LOST: A TRIBUTE TO CHET BAKER

“Chet Baker, someone who made you travel to some far outpost in your mind, never worrying about a return ticket” –Bruce Weber.

After last year’s sold out show, trumpeter Emily Kidd and vocalist Steven Baker are back, paying tribute to one of the versatile and compelling jazz musicians to ever live, Chet Baker. Strolling through the best of a dramatic decades-long career, Emily Kidd and Steven Baker reach for the heart and soul of Chet Baker’s music, backed by University of Manitoba alumni Ben Kidd, Jared Beckstead-Craan and Carter Graham. For an hour or so on a warm June night, Steven’s crooning and Emily’s trumpet will transport any jazz lover -new or seasoned- to the romantic, wistful evenings of the West Coast jazz scene.
