JW-JONES

Starting out on the drums, Canadian JW-Jones switched to the guitar when he was 15 years old. In 2000, at age 20, the emerging blues musician released his debut album, Defibrillatin’, for which he received a nomination for Best New Artist at the Maple Blues Awards. One more album and four years later, My Kind of Evil came out. Jones has since been named “one of the country’s top blues guitar stars” by the Globe and Mail. In 2008, he released his fifth studio recording, Blueslisted, which features the musician as sole composer on 11 of the 14 tracks. Midnight Memphis Sun was released in 2010, followed by 7th Hour three years later and by Belmont Boulevard (2015).
