Winnipeg-based pianist and composer Michelle Grégoire continues to make waves as a talented composer and performer on the national scene. Last year, Grégoire premiered several new works and was a featured guest with the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra as well as the Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra. The Michelle Grégoire Quintet was also featured at the IAJE conference in Toronto this past January and continues to perform nationally. "Her playing style is all about elegance, subtlety, and understatement. No sharp edges mar her approach, and she builds her solos gradually and with great care" – All About Jazz. "Her ingenious creations are all of interest". – Toronto Star. Joining Grégoire will be Rob Siwik on drums, Steve Hamilton on bass and Rick Boughton on flugelhorn. The group will perform new pieces by Grégoire as well as favourites from her catalogue of compositions.
