Originally from Toronto, jazz vocalist Melissa Stylianou is now based in New York City, where she performs at such venues as Birdland, Jazz Standard, Joe's Pub, and 55 Bar. She maintains a busy performance schedule in Canada as well and over the past 10 years, Melissa has developed a loyal fan base in Ontario and across Canada. She plays regularly in the country's top jazz clubs, concert halls and jazz festivals, including le Festival International de Jazz de Montreal, the Downtown Toronto Jazz Festival, the Atlantic Jazz Festival, and the Ottawa International Jazz Festival. Melissa has independently produced three albums and has been featured in live recordings by the CBC and JazzFM as well as television features on CityTV, TVO, and SunTV. This summer, she will be touring with her Canadian band which includes Jamie Reynolds on piano, Andrew Downing on bass and Anthony Michelli on drums. They will be performing new original material, which will be featured on Melissa's upcoming album, to be recorded in New York City and released by Anzic Records.
