Veteran bassist Steve Hamilton has been a fixture on the Winnipeg music scene for over 20 years. Recipient of the Xerox Jazz Educator of the Year Award in 2008, he is well known as both a performer and educator. For this year's Nu Sounds Series, Hamilton will be joined by saxophonist Jimmy Greene, pianist Will Bonness, drummer Curt Nowosad and percusionist Scott Senior.This talented group will be performing Hamilton's original compositions. Steve's music is an organic synthesis of his many disparate influences from Jazz, World music and Classical music.
