TD Canada Trust Jazz Labs in association with Xerox
Another season of TD Canada Trust Jazz Labs is upon us and this year is shaping up to be our busiest yet. Over the next several months our city will be visited by some of the best musicians the jazz world has to offer and thanks to TD Canada Trust and Xerox, these players will be conducting workshops, or “labs,” in addition to their concerts.
The TDCT Jazz Labs are a series of workshops geared towards emerging jazz musicians. The workshops will cover a wide range of topics from repertoire to music technique to the business of being a touring artist. As always the TDCT Jazz Labs are free for students.

Fred Stride, in town to perform with the Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra, has over 30 years experience as a trumpet player, composer and arranger. He also teaches jazz theory and jazz arranging at the University of British Columbia, which will no doubt make his visit to the Jazz Lab both informative and engaging.
