ATTICA RIOTS

The members of Attica Riots have an almost cosmic musical connection. Formed in 2008 by vocalist Bobby Desjarlais, Kyle Erickson on guitar, and Anders Erickson on drums, the band comes alive on stage, commanding and charming the crowd with ease. With a name that alludes to Kurt Vonnegut’s Hocus Pocus and the riots of New York’s Attica Correctional Facility, the band’s lyrics are rich with clever, tongue-in-cheek social commentary. Their sweaty, soaring compositions are wholly visceral, drawing a direct connection to the listener. Having performed at Canadian Music Week, NXNE, Breakout West, and M for Montreal, Attica Riots are poised to release their worldwide debut, produced by Mark Needham (Imagine Dragons, The Killers). Attica Riots are armed with an arsenal of songs bolstered by elements of dance, punk, and sticky pop, destined to find homes on the radio airwaves and playlists of discerning music fans who are suckers for good, unshakable hooks.
